ABOUT THE COLLEGE

Where Ancient Wisdom Meets Modern Education

The establishment of Nangelil Ayurveda Medical College in 2002 under the aegis of the Nangelil Charitable Trust (Reg. No. SR/P/3-2001) marked a significant milestone in the expansion of the Trust’s educational and healthcare endeavors. Recognizing the institution’s comprehensive facilities, the Government of Kerala granted official sanction to establish the college and offer the 5½-year Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS / Ayurveda Acharya) degree program, fully approved and envisaged by the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM), New Delhi.

Operating under the governance of the Trust’s Board of Directors, the institution is led by Mr. M.E. Sasi as President of the Trust. Academically, the college is steered by Dr. Sunil P. V., an esteemed Principal and renowned clinician.

Initially affiliated with Mahatma Gandhi University, the college transitioned its affiliation to the Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS) in 2010. Admissions strictly comply with the periodic guidelines stipulated by the Government of Kerala. The institution maintains an annual intake capacity of 60 students, with 100% of admissions filled through the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET).
